McNair Graduate Student Association
Welcome to the McNair Graduate Student Association page. We are dedicated to providing graduate students recognized by the Ronald E. McNair Post-Baccalaureate Achievement Program support, mentoring, and professional development to further enrich academic excellence, and empower students throughout their doctoral and master’s programs at Baylor University.
About us
The McNair Graduate Student Association's primary goal is to create a community that connects, encourages, and empowers McNair Scholars' as they progress in their graduate studies at Baylor.
This goal will be maintained by
- Supporting diversity and inclusion and advocating for student concerns
- Connect graduate students in master’s programs with additional resources and mentorship as they prepare to apply to doctoral programs
- Promote outreach, provide networking and professional development opportunities (i.e., McNair National Conferences, Graduate School Resource Fairs and similar events at Baylor University)
- Establish and maintain an interdisciplinary intellectual community by enhancing network and collaboration among its members, undergraduate McNair Scholars, and Baylor University’s graduate student and postdoc community.
McNair Doctoral Fellowship
If you are a prospective or incoming doctoral graduate student at Baylor University, the Baylor Graduate School invites you to apply for the McNair Doctoral Fellowship Program. Current McNair Scholars and Alumni are eligible to receive full tuition waivers, competitive stipends, and more, for up to 5 years.

All incoming and currently enrolled graduate students at Baylor University who were recognized as Ronald E. McNair Postbaccalaureate Achievement Program Scholars are invited to join the McNair GSA.
